Looking for a Wireless Access Point

When putting in the new router/firewall at the office, to save money, the boss decided to get one that did not have wi-fi(against my recommendation). Now, a couple years later, he wants wi-fi....go figure. At the time, someone told me about Wireless Access Points I think he called them, or WAPs. However, it appears that WAP is a protocol and when searching for Wireless Access Points I just find range extenders that require you to already have wi-fi. Not what I am looking for. I am looking for something to plug in to our network/router that will add wi-fi to the network, as cheap as possible. Can anyone recommend anything for this that is cheap but decent quality?

I would recommend an Ubiquiti. I have installed a few of these for customers and they work great and for under a $100 usually.
