    Still less than 3G with a 2s deceleration.

    Most people can easily handle up to 4G on an instantaneous and one-off basis.

    With his back turned into into it, he could theoretically survive at least 5 times as much. So, they were just taking no chances, particularly with any soft tissues or blood vessels.

    I imagine that still had to hurt quite a bit. Even getting hit with a droplet of water at that velocity would sting.
