Etiquette is just manners. It is not enforced in any particular way. Not having your elbows on the table while eating is also proper Etiquette. But you aren't getting fine or going to jail over it.

Should not act out like a dick during it, but no reason to go overboard and pay respect to it. If I am walking to my seats and song starts playing, may as well make the rest of the way to my seat. If I am sitting down and it starts playing, no fucking way they get me to stand at attention. Sure i wont talk and yell shit during it, but no reason to go out of my way.
