Will we ever get back 40 man raids?

No, blizz will not bring back 40 man raids, they were a nightmare to organize and lead, and fact is the 40 man requirement was the biggest obstacle to raiding in Vanilla. I will say for a fact that if raiding in vanilla was tuned around 25 man like BC raiding was there would have been a lot more guilds clearing AQ 40 and Naxx.

I miss the feel of the 40 man raids also, but what I dont miss is the logistics.
When people dont show up and roster boss always comes into play.
I do like the feel of a 20 man raid as well, feels a bit more personal and tight knit

I highly doubt they will ever go back up in Raid size.

You can do Heroic and Normal with 30, isn't that good enough? Barely anyone does those with that many as it is.

raiding in Vanilla was awesome and 40man raiding was the best.

Leading 40 man raids weren't as bad, considering those raids were not as punishing as you'd think.

With TBC and 25man they decided to make a change and worked for them, doesn't mean that people that raided 40 man didn't like it, they just adopted.
Nowadays the game is in decline plus the encounters are very hard and punishing so having even 1 person in a 40 man mythic raid doing something stupid will cost you compared to having 10 people dced in naxx.

without acknowledging that raids of today are 1000% more complex than vanilla/bc raids, 40 man sizes will not work. i dont want the complexity of todays raids with 40 people, where 1 person can wipe the whole raid. its bad enough with just 20.

I never played WoW on dial up, it was 2004.

But no. It was a pain to lead and recruit. There's enough people saying 20m mythic is too much.

Maybe for an Anniversary Event like the 10 year. But we're more bound to get a BC raid so it would be 25m

it wasn't the same... that was an LFR just being 40 man... you get the same issues in LFR anyways.

implying 40 man raids were hard. the only hard part about them was to fill a raid with 40 ppl, which lead to alot of dragging around terrible players.
