Mario Vs. Lich King. Who wins?

In a fight between the greasy Italian plumber and the undead Lich King, who would win this fight?

On one hand you have Mario who is able to literally throw fireballs hand over fist, as well as fly with his ears, and seems to knock enemies out just by stepping on them..

And on the other hand you have Arthas, corrupted by the cursed runeblade and leader of the Scourge. He literally commands the undead.

Who wins this fight?

My vote is for Mario. Hes just been too iconic and he is always able to beat even the toughest enemies.

Regardless of stupidity of the premise:

Mario can't stand up to constant damage; he relies on being able to dodge it. Not all of the Lich King's damage sources are avoidable.

Not every enemy in Mario can be defeated by jumping on them; there's no reason to think fireballs would affect the lich king. And there's no axe with a chain to drop a bridge on top of ICC.

Well, Arthas can apply dots and Mario can only be hit three times and then he dies. Also, the is no character collision in WoW so Mario can't jump on Arthas

I don't think you know how a "versus" hypothetical works. It's not being written by people who want to continue a franchise. We're evaluating strengths and weaknesses. My vote goes to the Lich King. Takes more than Fireballs to kill him.

If Mario had a star and he became empowered, i think he would definitely have a shot at killing the Lich King.

I mean, I can go into the Lich King's lair right now and pretty much 1 shot him. Mario shouldn't have that much trouble killing him either.
