All right, gentleperchildren, let's review. The year is 2024 - that's two-zero-two-four, as in the 21st Century's perfect vision - and I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of still-masked clots ridden infertile senile sissies who want the Last Ukrainian to die so they can get on with the War on China, with some middle-eastern genocide on the side

Norway isn't the first European country to build a fence to stop immigrants, and other countries have shown that it works (if someone really doubt that border control significantly reduces migrant flows - just look in latest UNHCR reports) - in combination with people guarding the fences.
Waiting for results.
The wise wolf who's pride is her wisdom isn't so sharp as drunk.
Wait what? No Russian refugees? Perhaps Trump can buy couple of them? Wifey number 4 and 5?
Oh, Norway is trying to keep refugees out now?

Fucking awesome, now do this everywhere to keep those border hoppers out.
Yeah, it was very stupid of us to join the West's trade war and hostile rhetoric against Russia. We and our products used to have quite good reputation in Russia; they bought our stuff, invested in our country, and travelled here as tourists and visitors. But our leaders in their short-sightedness threw all that away, ignoring our own interests in favor of those of the US and EU. Indeed, the decisions made during Stubb's reign were probably the most damaging ones to Finland (in long term) any of our politicians have ever made in our independent history. Finland's foreign political actions in recent years have the potential to permanenly reduce us from an exemplary welfare state to a stereotypical poor eastern european country.
It only takes a quick look at the world map to see where our best chances would be. Due to our high production/labor cost, logistics, and short yearly growing season we cannot compete in Western markets: they already produce most of that stuff at much cheaper cost. Russia, on the other hand, is right next door and there'd be demand there for what we can offer (and we, in return, have use for what they can offer). Our only chance of future prosperity would thus be a flourishing relationship with Russia on all spheres. Alas, our "neo-finlandization" towards the west (= we being held in tight leash by US and EU) has pretty much doomed us economically in the future. The recent massive cuts in the educational sector alone make sure that one of our best trump cards at the world market -- high educational/scientific/technological know-how -- will be heavily diminished in the future.
It's ironic that during the era which our short-sighted russophobes and NATO-hawks refer to as "finlandization" our country rose to world-renowned prosperity and well-being whereas the "neo-finlandization" (which I defined above) threatens to undo all that we have achieved.
Indeed it is. I agree. Let me help you understand why:
If all countries are doing X and chose to pick on ONLY Israel = anti semetism
If all countries are doing X and you criticise all of them (or at least not only Israel)= not anti semetism.
Hard to grasp concept, isn't it?
If Norway will be considered a racist, apartheid state then you are absolutely correct and criticising Israel is fair play.
Shall we place bets if that actually happens?
Currently learning Norwegian, and as a huge fan of their culture and a life long black metal fan- news like this bring smile to my face. Definately my no1 country to move to since I was 13.
