Looking to upgrade or build new

Hello everyone

I'm currently looking to either upgrade my current PC or do a fresh build, budget is around $1,500 CAD (can go a bit over if need be)
Games i currently play are: Wow, Overwatch, GTA5, Doom and XCOM
Id like to get into 1440p if possible
I will also be needing a new tower

Here is what i am currently using
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus Z87-K ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card
Power Supply: Antec EarthWatts 750W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I am also looking to get a new monitor as well (separate from tower budget)

Get an Samsung EVO 500 GB SSD and a GTX 1080 with aftermarket cooler, should play anything, CPU etc.. is still good, might even get away with a GTX 1070 depending on how much detail and FPS you intend to go.
