Why are People doing invasion?

I have seen alot of players out in the world fighting against the legions invasion, but I dont understand why.

What if they succeed in stopping the legion?
Will we have another two years of HFC and no other content...

I beg everyone, dont level your alt... Its not worth it if the Cost is an expansion never happening only because we won before it eventuellt started.....
