Hi mate,
Hello,

Some extra info missing: iLvl, build, armory link or stats and how many trait she has right now
By rotation, I guessing, she used the effigy build, but i'm not sure. That is also important.

As logs, I only found two issue, what could help to keep up the great work (because it is right now already!):
- Consistent Agony usage missing
- Pandemic range missed lot of time at Corruption

Suggestion:
- Lot of time missing the Reap usage (20-30 sec between one usage. I know, it's an ugly rng behind it, but should be able to use in every 10th sec (+-2), if am I right (not sure, but as far as I experienced). This miss the 10% dmg boost and lot of trait not boosted at all (so lost lot of possible crit dmg as well)

Basically at 2-3 would be great to cast, but lot of time - because its RNG - cast it whenever is available, to get as many uptime as possible. (imho the best at 3+ to not get more micro-management)

So after the hotfix, I've tried switching back to soul effigy build, but for some reason I do much lower dps with it. I've done extended tests on dummies (4+ minutes several times) and I can't get above 375k. Whereas with the MG build I get 415k sustained.

This was done without buff food or flask and no pots were used. I so have 35th trait.

Were you only maintaining Agony on Effigy?
Did you take AC?
Were you still 2UAReapDrain cycling and getting every tick of UA under MG except to refresh Agony?

Yes to all of this except I was using Writhe instead of MG in the effigy build. I think that explains the difference. Will test it out when I get home.

Hey guys,

After having been on a break for a while I came back recently and it looks like patch 7.1.5 has hit me like a sledgehammer.
My old guild's raidteam fell apart and I recently joined a new guild and want to make a good impression since I don't want to be a liability to their progress.

I did the first 5 bosses on heroic last night as Destrobut I just can't seem to get my DPS at a level where I would want it, am I doing something horribly wrong or is it my gear that's limiting my output?

Hello there,

I have recently rolled an Affliction Warlock and playing a hunter for many years. My ilvl is now 891, and has followed most guides I could find on gearing choices, stat priorities and rotations. I find myself always starved on soul shards and Reap Soul. For the logs listed below, my Spec was 3111213, which I believe to be the standard single target spec. My Crit/Haste/Mastery are 23/12/116

Here are some logs of a couple of heroic fights and normal fight from last night. When I run in gear in Simcraft, it shows me pulling about 500k unbuffed and I am not coming close to that. Please let me know if anyone sees anything Awry.

Dear Warlock community,

I am begging you for help. I'm 889 destro warlock with T19-2pc with 3 legendaries:
- Feratory of Souls
- Sephuz's Secret
- Magistrike Restraints

The problem is I totally suck at DPS. I have no idea why. My typical build is just like the one in my profile atm: backdraft, ELT, shadowfury, FnB, DS, GoServ, CD. The problem is I seem to deal too little damage for my gear and I'm not sure why. I'm trying to keep ELT 100% active, I spend my mana on Chaos Bolts when I'm over 3 shards, I try to use Channel Demonfire every cooldown, I try to Immolate many targets, still my DPS sucks balls on Nighthold HC. What am I doing wrong? Maybe my build is incorrect for the items I have? I also have quite many spare epics in bank, but I try to use the best ones advised by Simcraft (doing simulation every time I get new item).

Practising Affliction, now it is viable. Mostly for AoE fights (Skorpyron) etc in NH.

I wonder though, I only get 330k (nonbuffed) on ST dummy, where my Demonology gets 450k (unbuffed). That might be due to bad stats (13 crit, 37 haste, 72 mastery).

On several targets (4 imps) the rotation seems very simple?! Wowhead says:
- Agony on all.
- Seed of Corruption (spam)

Is this really it?! I managed to get 650k unbuffed on 4 imps with this. But it seems to simple (boring) and my destruction got 8-900k instead, so that would have been a better choice?

Okay on the real Skorpyron fight and not 4 imp dummies I got 400k or so with affliction. Played it pretty bad, but still far up there. Think I will go demo and implosion until I get better skills and gear...

Hi everyone.

I am in need of some help, I cant figuere out what I am doing wrong, since this is a fight where I am suppost to be high on dps since this is a cleave fight, I feel like I am doing alot less dps than what I could be doing.
I have tried to compare my kill with other locks with the compare mechanic from warcraftlogs, and I cant see the big difference in what I do, and what other locks do.

Hello all.

I hate to be the guy that comes into these threads seeking help for other people, but my cousin has been struggling to have competitive or consistent DPS for a while. This problem started in WoD and has leaked into Legion. We finally had to sit him and others on heroic Gul'dan last night just so we could kill the boss. Every time I confront him about his poor performance (I'm an officer), he puts the blame on the events that happen on a specific pull, or his terrible legendaries... but I know there's more to it than that. Any input would be appreciated!
