On Beta it spawned about every 12 hours.

I feel like they upped the spawn time tbh.

I also believe it's setup to either stay 30 minutes before despawning... or (as some speculated) despawns 15 minutes after someone buys something.

I saw it today morning, after I bought the mount from him I think he stayed there at least for another 30 min. This was on Outland, I think it's the most populated server in the EU.
They should have introduced more high price mounts, even one for the gold cap that is 10 million gold. Spectral tigers in the auction house are anywhwere between 5 to 10 mil. gold anyway, so this spider mount doesn't feel very special... or not special enough.
