"active mitigation check" question

Because the name is dumb, especially when it only applies to certain "active mitigation" abilities. If you're in your tank spec the dungeon journal tells you the exact ability you need up to prevent it. That is much better then just labeling certain defensive abilities as "AM".

For DK, both Deathstrike and Marrowrend give the "recently death striked" buff which is 3 secs of active mitigation.

I'm not sure, but its possible if you talent into Rune Tap, that it also counts as AM? Though maybe that was only during an earlier part of beta (cant test atm so maybe someone else can)
