    Help with a new PC

Ok so I finally have enough to build a new PC. I am basically going to build the unicorn setup of the month, but I have a couple questions on places I might try to save some money.

    1. What is the difference between the CoolerMaster HAF 912 ($60) vs. the Corsair Air 540 ($125)? 65 bucks for a better case seems illogical to me, so can someone explain why I would want or need to have this case as opposed to the $60 one. I won't be overclocking or anything so I don't think my CPU will overheat.

    2. As above, I won't be overclocking, do I need a NH-15 ($88) when I could get the $54 one? Is the difference that noticeable in either the case or heatsink quality that I should just say "screw it" and pay more for the better product?

Just so you know, the unicorn build is bad, you can comfortable shave $100-150 without losing anything. I advice you answer these as detailed as a possible and we can make a custom build for you.

    Budget
    Resolution
    Games / Settings Desired
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)
    Country
    Parts that can be reused
    Do you need an OS?
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?

    Answering your questions:
    1) I wouldnt get either. HAF 912 is outdated and Corsair Air 540 is a good case but overpriced and is not needed for most people.
    2) This is why I advice answering those questions and getting your custom build, we can tailor it to your specific needs. If you wont be overclocking you are fine with a $30 cooler, but again there is no point in getting a K processor if you're not overclocking.

Budget ------------- around $1500 give or take. I'm willing to spend more to get good parts that will last me longer so I will need less frequent upgrades.
Resolution--------- 1080p? I think... I don't need 4k but if its within budget maybe I'll think about it.
Games / Settings Desired -------- Pretty much just WoW and other Blizzard games, I'd like to get something well-rounded in case I find other games I like.
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc) --------- None
    Country ----------- 'murica
Parts that can be reused ------- None
Do you need an OS? ------------ Windows 7 or 10 will be fine, I'll have to buy a key I suppose.
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? ------------ I do need a monitor.

With a monitor for a grand, more than enough for what you plan to do with the build.
