    Help with my build!

Ok, so i've spent the last few days doing some research and I just wanna get some final opinions before I purchase. I'm building this to be a long-term gaming rig that will last me well into the future with room for upgrades as games get more intense. Right now I'd just like to be able to play my games on high settings at a reasonable FPS.

Motherboard- ASUS Z170-A LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Graphics Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 08G-P4-5173-KR, 8GB GDDR5, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)
    PSU - EVGA Supernova 750 G2
    RAM - ORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model CMK16GX4M2B3200C16
    CPU - Intel i5 6600k
Cooling - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Case - Corsair Carbide Series 400R Graphite grey and black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case
Monitor - AOC G2460PG 24" 1ms (GTG) 144 Hz Gaming Monitor, NVIDIA G-SYNC, NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready, Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB) Technology, Height Adjustment, VESA Mountable, USB 3.0 and DisplayPort
    SSD - Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

    Sorry I can't post links

Any comments or replacements is welcome.

Where are you ordering and your budget please? Also, any particular reason you're choosing a 24 inch 144Hz G-Sync monitor? I hope you realise you're paying almost double just for G-Sync. Build below is purely quality reference without a monitor using US prices:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

    CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($227.88 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H5 Ultimate 76.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($46.99 @ Newegg)
    Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($144.82 @ B&H)
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($71.99 @ Newegg)
    Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($94.00 @ B&H)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card ($424.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro M ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($79.99 @ Newegg)

750W is overkill for any possible single GPU build on Z-series motherboards. You shouldnt consider SLI unless you already have a top single GPU configuration. If you want your build to be futureproof overclocking is your best friend, in this case you need a better CPU cooler. You can get a good two section tower in the US if you add $30, but this should be fine on average. There is literally no reason to choose Corsair 400R unless you need a bunch of 5.25 inch bays.

Everything will be from newegg so I can use the 1 year interest free payoff plan. The budget was supposed to be around $1500 but i don't really care about going a couple hundred over. Tbh, I know nothing about monitors and whether I even need a 144hz monitor or whether I should just get a 60hz IPS. I'm very open to suggestions, this is my first build and I'm just trying to figure out whats best. I only really know that I want a 1070 and an i5 6600k lol.

edit: is g-sync worth it? it sounds pretty awesome.

I see. G-Sync is worth it with more expensive monitors and higher resolutions, with a 24 inch 1080p one - I dont think so. For 144Hz it depends on the games you play (you want 144Hz for FPS, not that noticable with other games both because of the speed of gameplay and average FPS those games can produce). Generally getting a bigger IPS screen is a safer pick but I'll pick both, you choose.

What is the difference between the Samsung EVO and the Samsung Pro?

edit: also the video card you linked me is out of stock, and there are like tons of 1070s that i cannot tell the difference between them. Does it even matter? Like one is from Asus, one is from Gigabyte, etc.

Mostly warranty, reliability and some performance. For an average user the difference is not noticable, both drives are limited by the SATA-III interface, given the price difference buying a Pro version is not justified for an average user, unless you can get a big discount (which I did, for example).

For the videocard, sorry didnt check stock, get this instead. There is a difference, it's overclocking potential, factory OC, cooling (which directly impacts performance here - cooler card will be able to hold a higher boost clock in games) and noise.

If the sale runs out on the PSU (the RM650x), you can get the 550 watt model of that range. 550 watt is more then enough to handle even an OC on the CPU and GPU.
