A 10-15% increase still doesn't get us to the capacity of fire mages (who werent changed), nor does it change our terrible mechanics. But it does make us viable again overall, even if aff will still be a toilet spec without more refinement.

Agreed. These damage buffs help a lot. But the mechanics of demo's rotation is still hell. Horribly unforgiving for having to move at any point in time.

Numbers weren't the reason i switched to mage.

You can do whatever you want. Nobody is telling you what to do. Or how to think. Or how to express yourself.

    Get the subtle hint?

    Well it's a start.

The main reason this makes me so happy is that even if we aren't top of the top if makes dealing with the terrible class mechanics worth it

If only 10% was the issue.

That said, ROF being instant is more than I expected, so that's something.

Really confused by the 15% affliction seed buff - AOE was the area it was bafflingly strong in considering it's a historic weakness of the spec, ST was where it needed the help. I guess AOE is afflictions Class Fantasy now.

Mechanical changes don't happen in a hotfix. This is a start at least. Really surprised fire mage wasn't touched though.

Increasing numbers doesn't fix the mechanical problems the class currently has. It's a band-aid because our numbers were too low.

In 7.1 they need to start working on making the class fun to play again.

I'm surprised they gave moonkin more buffs than Warlocks, and it seems Demo got more buffs than Affliction?

I was playing Destro exclusively so instant RoF and 11% buffs across the board is perfect news to me. I'll happily continue to melt faces.

I only see good news. If that isn't good enough we just have to show them once more.

But that certainly pleases me quite a lot, specially RoF instant cast and Affliction buffs. I love afflic =3

These buffs won't resolve the issues with our mechanics which is where the actual problems lie. I welcome them, obviously, but Blizzard needs to start making some real changes.

Thank christ RoF is instant again. A targeted AoE that does damage over time AND has a cast time was pure aids. Rest of the number buffs are nice but don't really do anything long term.

It's a start I guess, now go over and try tackling that mountain sized challenge that is demonology.

(Also everyone got 10% or so buffs besides a few specs, so really, we're just going in the same direction as other classes, not catching up)
