Mythic+ chest at end of dungeon

Haven't done mythic+ yet. Does the chest at the end only contain 2 pieces of loot? How is it distributed? Can it be PL or ML or is it forced to be a certain loot method? I guess PL would mean exactly 2 pieces of gear are given to 2 random players, 1 item per player.

Think its forced PL, each chest will contain 2 pieces of loot, for the maximum of 6 piece of loot total if you get 3 chests.
