Blood thirsty instinct dropping for... MM hunters?

So yeah, doing Emerald Nightmare on my MM hunter with personal loot, kill Ursoc and I get the Bloodthirsty Instinct trinket. Thought cool, agility, then realised the proc only works on melee attacks. So why is this dropping for MM hunters who are ranged? Surely it should be Survival only? Checked the Dungeon Guide and had MM drops selected, and it's still available as a drop.

Time to either make it so it's a survival only drop, or make it proc on ranged attacks too. Kinda annoying getting offspec gear when you're trying to gear up.

Anybody else had something like this happen?

It works for marksman/bm aswell, did you even try the trinket? xD

There was a blue post about this shortly before release. The tooltip will be fixed in 7.1.

Works for ranged attacks and its the best you can currently get.
