Why a signature infraction?

Can anyone tell me why I received an infraction for having the "Beta Club" image in my signature today, when I (and many others) have had it in our signatures for months without hearing so much as a peep about it? I mean, if I'd just put it there and got the infraction, that's one thing, but after months?

Our signature rules are no more than 500px x 100px @ 50kb. Your signature was 440 x 110 @ 61kb

Signature infractions can only be handed out by moderators who happen to notice your signature. That means you can have it for a while before someone realizes it. Since signature images are hosted off-site we can't really detect them easily. If you see someone with an oversize signature please feel free to report their post or PM a moderator to handle it.
