GPU upgrade?

So after resisting the urges for a while. It was time to load up wow again.

My old pc is not running Legion smoothly, so I need a little bit of advice.

I'm looking to do some casual playing and raiding at high(ish) settings.

30+ fps would be enough i guess.

my current system is:


i7 920 OC -> 3.6 ghz
6 GB Ram
Ati Radeon 5770 1gb

I think a minor GPU upgrade will get me going untill the next xpansion.
I'm not looking to run any other games on this.

I can choose from:

Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2 GB for 20 euro's
Asus gtx 660 oc 2GB for 55 euro's
XFX HD 7870 Double Dissipation Black Edition 2Gb for 70 euro

any advice will do

Wow has an affinity for nvidia GPU's, the 6950 is the best deal of the bunch but WoW will play better on the 660. I assume this is on a local used site? Try and search for gtx 770's, see if you can find any deals. Otherwise the 660 is just fine.

And yes you are correct, your i7 920 should get you along for a while yet.
