Whats your thought on this trinket , ive read that it sims worse than it actually performs. i have an 865 version and i dont know if its better than an 840 static agi /crit. I play sub/sin btw.

A heroic one did 4.27% of roguesf dmg on our mythic ursoc kill. That should give you a rough basis

problem is that it gives mastery not agility, and it gives like 600 less mastery than an agi trinket of that ilvl so it's less than half the stat's worth

It all depends on what it's replacing, it's a minor dps increase with mastery only and the proc accounting for 4-4.5% dps. There's definitely better trinkets.

well i mean a 880 one is flat out worse than a 850 darkmoon card or at best around the same

My 855 one accounts for about 7% of my overall DPS on pure single target. Even higher value when you add more stacked targets.

I dont mean to sound condescending, its just on trinket graphs it ranks very low. Lower than stat stick agi/crit or vers trinkets

and i heard 7.1 buffed EN trinkets but I cant find info on it

for example an 840 hunger pack trinket vs 865 SA trinket

Yeah I dont think the graphs calculate it correctly. There was discussion as such in another thread

Its not BIS, but it's a solid trinket for sure.

What makes this great for other classes like Enhance is the fact that the tentacles can proc Stormbringer. Rogues don't have anything like this. That being said, I wouldn't trust most sims with something like this. Trinket can still be decent as is.

You really just have to test both ingame and see which works better live. Sims seriously undervalue the damage of Appendages

Eg I got Handkercheif from Moroes of equal ilvl, which is agi + on use, and over several tests switching between the two both on dummies and in raid, Appendages won out each time.

Since the sims aren't doing much good I've been trying to decide between 3 trinkets basically. I have a 865 SA, a 865 Bloodthirsty Instinct, and an 845 Six Feather Fan.

At the moment I swapped out BI for SA. Running an EP/AP assassination build. Anyone have any particular insight into deciding between these? Simc says one thing, AMR says another, and then some people say don't trust sims at all.

Pretty much, then you add confusion of 7.1 patch possibly buffing EN trinkets

I use an 880 socketed one when I play assassination. It's ~5% of my total damage single target and has a TON of mastery, which is worth nearly as much as agi.

Yeah but I mentioned it because its an agi trink, and the dude wanted comparisons between SA and an agi statstick

It's not as good as people might think, some tries it does about 7-9% and some tries it goes down to 2-3%. Not as reliable as a 850+ stat stick / memento.
