Spec for hidden artifact farming

Not sure if this has been answered but I have not been able to find an answer. When farming for a hidden artifact look, do you need to be that spec? When I was farming my destro look I was just destro because that is what I play. Do I need to be demo to farm for the demo one?

I got all six demo heads last night as affliction, and the affliction grimoire in same drop as 6th head!

All 3 hidden warlock artifact skins can be farmed using any spec.

I chose to grind it with my demo, as thal'kiel gives up some opinions on looting each head, which was cool. Plus blasting em away with implosion was fun.
