New monitor causing fps drops

Hey, i just got a new Samsung monitor S24F352FH. I had a 9 year old Eizo monitor with DVI cabel, the new monitor uses a HDMI. After i got the new monitor my wow fps went from 80 to drops as bad as 19 fps.... Any idea how to fix this?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB

Intel Core i7-6700 Skylake

ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII RANGER Socket-1151

The monitor cant really do that..

You probably have too high settings for 1080p and 970, compared to your previous resolution or maybe simply corrupt settings because of previous resolution, try saving your addon settings (Account name) somewhere else, and delete the WTF folder, might help but doubt it, probably just too high settings.

Did you up your resolution? That's basically the only way a monitor changes performance.
