Should I wait until Black Friday/Cyber Monday to upgrade my gpu?

I will be able to afford the GTX 1070 on the 4th, but I don't know if I should wait a few more weeks? Are the cards too new to have significant deals?

Current GPU's dont really go on crazy sales, best you can hope for is a few dollars off MSRP. May i ask what your monitor is? If you are still on 1080p a 1070 is legit throwing money down the drain. A 1060 and a 1440p or 144hz monitor is a much better idea than a 1070 if that is the case.

1440p monitor at 60hz Gpu is a 380x. Monitor is overclocked to 80hz though.

If it were 3+ months away, I'd say maybe... But waiting literally a handful of weeks might be worth saving 20-50 bucks.

Very good, just checking : )

I dont think you will see 330 dollar 1070's on black friday, like i said they rarely discount CURRENT GPU's. The EVGA SC 1070 is at MSRP on newegg (379.00+10 dollar markup for SC), thats the card id buy today.

Ill probably just get it the 4th if ill only save 20-30 bucks at most. The 1070 is 80-120% better than the 380x depending on the game, so pretty excited.

Possibly, depending. Ive seen cases and SSD's go on good sales, really no saying until the sales hit. But for the most part its consumer electronics that have the really good deals (TV's etc).
