    Engineering Item Suggestion

Also on the WoW Forums: http://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20749748615

With the updates made to the flight path map in the patch today, I had what could be a fun idea for a couple new engineering items. The goal here is not to make travel super easy in general (a'la mass summon), but rather to supplement the current systems (flight paths/summoning stones).

    Flight Master's Recoordinater X-Treme

Use: Set up a flight path coordinator at your above-ground location. Party and raid members can purchase flight paths to and from that location for 5 minutes (30 minute cooldown).

The game basically creates a "Dummy" flightmaster at your location that people can fly to/from. It will take them on the normal flight path pattern to the nearest point where they would usually drop them, then veer the mount out toward you for a nominal (1 flight path) fee. When the flightmaster leaves, people en route still go there, but others can no longer choose it.

    Also for the discerning engineer:
    Potent Portal Potable
Use: Has a good chance of summoning one party or raid member to your location and consumes the item (60 minute cooldown). Cooldown is shared by similar consumables.

This will help you get that one extra person to you for summoning quickly... most of the time. It can also backfire, like any good engineering item can. Can adjust to 1/day instead if that proves too useful. The flight master can be a goblin engineering item (since it costs money), while the potable is gnomish with a chance to accidentally summon a level-appropriate demon instead.

OR AT LEAST NOT SOONER THAN THEY WILL ADD NEW LEGION CHOPPER!

This is actually a pretty good suggestion, and pretty cool at that.

What, you don't like spending ~100 gold for a gunpack that randomly tosses you into the air?

100% would buy (make, actually) it.

What I would like to have, as an engineering only item, is some device to allow you to combat walking on water, that do not break on damage (disabled on PvP, of course), or something like the grapper from Stormheim (or however it is spelled), but with a "vaccuum" end that do not requires a hook (so, you can use it wherever you want). Of course, the vaccuum engine will overheat after use, so you cannot use it more than three times per hour (using it a fourth time, although possible, will destroy the item). Risk on use is (of course, this will be a goblin engineer item) that some of the end may explode on use (or this wouldn't be an engineering item) sending you flying up... not high enough to be deadly if the item explode when you are on the grounds, but SO DEADLY if the item explode and you are using it to get to high grounds.

I really like that portable flight master. Considering flight paths are hardcoded, it probably could work like this: You get flown to the nearest flight master, there a cut scene (like the whistle one) plays and you get teleported to the portable flight master.

But the most important thing about engineering in Legion that should be adressed: Why does using an item you were creating continue to cost something when using? Nobody is going to use anything that costs 250G per use.
Removing the high NPC costs (that no other profession has) should be their first priority before adding something new. Give it CD, or give it CD but have an expensive item to reset that CD.

They need to make the swapblaster 2.0 that lets you target any player
