Nighthold DPS Mastery Trinkets changed to Strength

Was taking a look at the loot to pre plan what I wish to bonus roll on in the future, and noticed that the two mastery trinkets from Krosus and Elisande respectively have been changed to STR. Pretty sure regardless of mastery to stregnth change we will still want the trinket off Elisande, but as Arms the trinket off Krosus's doesn't seem appealing at all anymore.

Wh-what? Strength on trinkets is incredibly powerful. It's much better than having a secondary stat usually all the time. Most of the time, trinkets with a primary stat on them have a much weaker secondary effect than ones with a secondary stat as their only stat, so if they didn't change the secondary effects then this is just a straight up buff and a pretty big one at that.

Mastery is more valuable than strength for Arms, depends on gear and stuff but 1 mastery can easily be worth 1.2-1.3 strength or so.

Mastery for Arms is much stronger than strength, in the region of around 60% per point. Infact for many classes in Legion secondary stats are more valuable, strength is only competing with other secondaries but still not necessarily a clear winner with both Verse and Haste surpassing STR per point at certain times too.

Umm a point of mastery for arms is worth more then 30%+ more a point of strength since the xpac started?

Glad they changed it tbh. By the time NH comes out Fury will pull ahead of Arms again because of gear scaling. Would be a real middle-finger for the best trinket to be pure Mastery at that point.

Also, keep in mind that the Elisande trinket also has insane effects for other classes. Basically any of those classes (fe DHs) will be stuck with a shitty Mastery trinket cuz the effect is so good.

Based on what? Fury doesn't scale well with gear and Arms does so? People still talk about Fury scaling like it's TBC, Fury scaled poorly in WOD and and it's looking to scale poorly in Legion, half of the discussion around Fury complaints have included analysis on how Fury will scale poorly.

So nope Fury is not going to magically scale better than other specs.
