Vulgar, formed in 2007, is a guild that strives to improve every tier. Regression is not an option. Be it jumping from US 50th to US 30th, or 25th to 20th, we are always focusing on climbing in the ranks of the raiding community. If you cannot take constructive criticism, we are not the guild for you. Each individual is responsible for taking it upon themselves to maximize their awareness and output during our raids. Do not be mistaken; we are a unit. Times will arise in which you may have to go out of your comfort zone and try something new in order to defeat an encounter. This is expected of every raider, regardless of their status with the guild. Each raider is independent and it is not uncommon to see us question each other's decisions on a fight-to-fight basis. We are always open to strategy discussion as everyone has potential to provide valuable input. Regardless of the situation, we aim towards a definitive goal: next time you show up, perform better than the last time.
Our History
Vulgar, originally from Dragonmaw, was founded in 2007. Many of us come from top US guilds and competed with US first kills in Vanilla/TBC/WotLK and the leadership has been together since the beginning. We are stable, dedicated, and we get things done. In February 2012, the guild transferred to Sargeras, where we continue to be active and push progression.

Vulgar is seeking 18+ year old players that can handle criticism and are willing to push themselves to become the best players they can be. An applicant seeking to join will be a player who knows their class inside out and can play all the specs optimally. An applicant will have mumble and the ability to speak when needed, and will show up to raids with food, enchants, gems and flasks all at hand. And finally, all applicants must have an alt that is geared for heroic raiding.
A trial period lasts for 2-3 weeks, and we keep trials avidly aware of what we think they need to improve on, as well as what we think they're doing well at with weekly performance reviews.
All times are in EST format. We do not raid on holidays. Additional raid times and/or days may be added or changed due to progression or needs of the raid.
Loot Council
Our loot council distributes loot by factoring in player performance, attendance, and the value of the item to each individual. Do not join this guild expecting free hand-outs. Our roster has players who work as a team to make sure that pieces are handed out accordingly to benefit the guild's goals of pushing progression.
Expectations
All raiders are expected to maintain high survivability. A dead DPS isn't going to do any DPS! Our raiders are expected to put a task and job first before doing damage. Vulgar players are also required to be able to be prepared for a fight and be able to understand what the goals are before walking into a new encounter. A great raider in Vulgar is a raider who avidly reviews videos, streams, and more to share ideas and feedback to strategy as well.
