Nightbane speedrun: Possible to skip opera without bugs?

During my stay in Car-a-zan I noticed that there is a hallway next to the terrace where you fight Nightbane. This hallway has a door at the end of it, wich leads to the "balcony" above Moroes. Now, I`m not sure if this door is open when you first enter with all the bosses alive (i only took a look around once all the bosses were dead and at that point the door was open). If that turns out to be the case, then you would be able to just go straigth to Moroes, kill him within 8 mins, click the crystal and continue from there, effectively skipping the opera event. OR, are you required to kill opera AND click the first crystal within 8 mins of zoning into kara?
