KKK, Neo-Nazo's gather on PA Capitol steps

The National Socialist Movement, one of the largest neo-Nazi groups in the United States, has chosen the Pennsylvania Capitol in Harrisburg as the location for their Fall Political Rally.

The National Socialist Movement, one of the largest neo-Nazi groups in the United States, has chosen the Pennsylvania Capitol in Harrisburg as the location for their Fall Political Rally. But a counter event is planned to speak out against hate.

The group, which holds two national rallies a year, will hold their event from 2 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 5. Butch Urban, chief of staff for NSM Commander Jeff Schoep, said the events are held in random spots with no "rhyme or reason" behind the locations.

"We have a good sized unit in Pennsylvania, so the guys wanted to do it up there," Urban said. "Harrisburg was the luck of the draw."

Urban said they don't discuss membership numbers or how many people may be attending the rally. Urban said the movement has members in all lower 48 states and units in 38 of the 48 states.

Years ago when I worked in private security there were a lot of guys who were openly racist. Wearing hoods on their facebook photos with all the usual right-wing rhetoric, etc.

Still have family in the area, one of my nephews went down there to see what was going on. Apparently they came out waving confederate flags and gave their usual round of endorsements for Trump, Duke and a few other racists that are running for office. They say this stuff is happening all over the country. Anyone else see one of these rallies?

If you tolerate the BLM racism you have to tolerate this as well.

Well, you don't have to ...you could be a hypocrite and just support the flavor of racism that you like.

I don't think he was asking if it should be tolerated.

I don't recall BLM ever flying the battle flag of the confederacy, literally the flag of traitors to this country, on any Capitol steps.

    I could be wrong though.

Yeah I'm more interested if what the KKK and Neo-Nazis are saying about their events is true, like I asked in the OP has anyone else seen these rallies?

I reminded of the episode of south park about the south park flag being racist. Jimbo and Ned dresses up like kkk members and tells the kkk to vote against the flag because everyone hates the kkk and racists. People will want to vote the opposite of kkk and racists.

Nope, but I do recall them inciting violence and property damage based on blind hatred of white people trying to blame race on a non racial problem in what ultimately is an inherent scheme to gain power over the country. So yeah pretty much the same.

At least these people are out in the open. It's more dangerous when they're oppressed and hidden.

Plus, when they're in the open we can mock their idiocy of going to an important swing state right before an election.

Can't we just talked about the KKK without bringing up black people? I wanted a nice civilized conversation about white supremacy, but y'all keep shoving negroes down my throat.

Even though it's obvious why they support Trump, Duke, etc. I did think it was interesting the way they decided to broadcast that support with confederate flags on the steps of a state capitol so close to election. Especially with the open plans for voter intimidation coming from the right-wing the last month.

This will not benefit who they want it to benefit.

I live in Georgia. You don't get much more south than this state.

I have never even seen a white supremacist in the 35 years I have lived here. (as in someone actively making it known they are one)

You must be fairly sheltered then, I raided with people from Georgia / Mississippi / Texas for years and heard about incidents all the time. Really though I'm just curious about their membership claim and these kinds of open rallies, especially where they're purposefully being disrespectful of all US citizens (waving confederate flags on state capitols), not just the ones with the skin colors they don't like.

I think white supremacists are kind of like ISIS insurgents or big foot. We keep getting shaky video of them doing terrifying things out in the wilderness, but they end up being remarkably hard to find given the amount of press they get.

Yeah like I said I understand why they support Trump, Duke, etc. but this is a rather... curious strategy.

That's OK, BLM protestors don't support the American flag anyway.

Taken today on the steps of the PA Capitol.

I've met plenty of people who were ignorant of how to deal with members of certain other races, but full on ethnic superiority is not an easy mentality to hold in a growingly global society.
