That's why my personal favorite solution to the refugee crisis would be sending them all straight to the states and to France.

That makes little to no sense.

According to your reasoning, every resistance movement in history is like ISIS, but that is clearly a nonsense. ISIS are more akin to an occupation force, their stated goal is to create a new regime, not defend an existing regime.

We can argue semantics 'til the cows come home, but the fact of the matter is that lots of people in this thread and all over the internet think murder of innocents is okay as long as those innocents have a permanent tan and a small rug in their bedroom.

What are you going on about with 'permanent tan'? Have you ever met anyone from that region?

    ^ This.
Not sure why it comes as a shock to anyone that people would not react well to someone deciding that they are going to let a bunch of terrorists into their country. And YES, there are ISIS members, and extremist supporters among your precious "Refugees", to claim otherwise would be dangerously naive.

Today it's refugees, yesterday it was the Turks, tomorrow it will be leftists... it doesn't matter who's in charge, this group will always hate. They're disgruntled unemployed low life fucks that have no joy in life. Nothing Merkel can do about that.

It's true, they pull in some regular citizens from the fringes, but make no mistake, they are in the vast, vast minority. The big majority in Germany is satisfied with the way things are going. The Government leaves us alone, doesn't shock the Republic with controversities and reforms and generally keeps the boat on a pretty decent course.

Remember, you never read about happy people in the paper.
Funny, that's what the liberal media kept telling people here over the past 2 years during the whole election process about why Trump was NEVER going to be president. Hmm, strange how that worked out, being the "vast, vast minority" and all.

I'll put you in the basket of "yet another American who thinks he knows about Europe but doesn't read anything about it except an occasional sensationalist piece."

Trump "won" because people thought he was the lesser evil.
Luckily Germany offers more than two choices.
Put me in whatever basket you want, but it is very clear that the biggest threat to the US right now is from our "Allies" refusal to take this shit seriously. You're right, I REALLY don't give a shit about Europe, but I do give a shit about the US, and your choice to actively work against protecting yourselves leaves all of us vulnerable. So yeah, it is annoying listening to people try to justify putting the safety of everyone in jeopardy, because feelings.

Americans tend to buy bullshit more than europeans do. That is ehy idiocy like creationism vs darwinism or climate change are pretty much exclusive discussions to the us. Now i admit britain is fanboying hard and thus give up their ability to think but that doesnt go for the rest of europe.

And yet it is merkel reminding the us to stick to democratic values and liberties not the other way round.

Perhaps you didn't notice, but we are a lot safer than you in any ranking.

The only threat against our safety are the far right extremists group that are joining up with US gangs.
But we will crack down on them and then the threat will be over.
really? How many ppl far right extremists killed this last year and how many muslims did kill ?

We are absolutely fine in the Netherlands, it is because they can get their weed here, makes them all hippies.

As for the rest of Europe... honestly, if your government is involved in the Syrian war, you need to slap yourself for voting idiots in - Syria was a pretty moderate and decently developed country before certain people decided to bomb it. If not for that, these Syrians wouldn't have come here at all, they had it pretty good over there you know?

There's literally nothing left over there, it's all ruins. And you expect them to.. stay? God forbid they decide to bomb your country next, you would be glad to be welcomed in another country, right?

If your government is not involved, good on you - I guess if you are indifferent to other human beings, you can complain. But in the end, we kinda caused this to happen, and are now dealing with the consequences. In 10 years we'll get an excuse/apology "the war in Syria was a mistake", and that is where it ends. Just like in "enter countless previous countries".

There is nothing wrong with believing you got the better political system, and promoting it. But not by force, you do it by being a good example. Unfortunately certain countries are setting a very bad example, for way to many years now.
