    Sports are a dying cultural phenomenon. When more spectacle and interest can be put into digital media, such as television shows, movies, and video games, people just stop caring about the duller alternative.

    I highly doubt that LoL can compete with the football world championship finals which is watched by ~ 2billions or the olympic games.
