    Genuinely middle fingering us

"Patches like 7.1.5 and 7.2.5 are targeted to come out around 10 weeks after the last major patch, containing whatever can get finished by that time. Shadow Priests and a few other classes got a lot of attention this time around. Warlock issues will get fixed during the expansion, but the team didn't feel like they could get the changes done in time for this patch."

We are sorry that your class has so many issues, we don't feel like paying attention to it atm, please try again later...

Saying things like that mr. Ion will make me unsub, not even reroll. I understand being a bit more open about it but literally saying that a class has many issues but you don't get time to fix them because... is not a good policy for a company.

Would you rather they not any anything at all? In that case this thread would just be called "Blizz completely ignored warlocks again." Blizz can't win here. People will complain either way.

Gives you plenty of time to keep posting this same bullshit about lack of warlock changes.

I'm a doubter and I didn't get this impression. They acknowledged the problems for one thing. I guess they felt that affliction eithe rhad the biggest problems...or the easiest ones to fix.

The more this expansion plays out the more it just flat out feels like a live beta.

Warlocks are fine. Middle of the pack dps. Top of the line cleave. Best class when it comes to forum whine.

To be fair, he didnt say we would have to wait for 7.2.5, he merely stated when they come out in reference to the major patches, perhaps we could be looking at some changes for 7.2 and not 7.2.5.

This isn't and never has been about damage. It is and always will be about how terrible the class is to play. That said, destro is fine IMO (albeit not as fun as in the past), but demo is clunky and awful and aff is just boring as fuck.

affliction is fine, it just is so weak, as there isnt alot of fights that fit to its playstyle, its top of the line on elerethe mythic

the only major issue is they need a better way to get "kills" on purly single target fights, and we may see procs be added to act as "kills" or the return of the spirits that were in early alpha, that spawned around you and you would kill them during fights

The biggest complaint isn't the numbers, but the playstyle - They decided to break what was working, and failed to fix it. Good playstyle in WoD, completely bonk in Legion.

I love my warlock and playing Destro, lots of fun. I always crush the numbers also which is nice, but the most important part of the game (enjoying playing my class) is very much there and I have not regretted my choice at any point.
    Volte 80 Frost DK--Cycloneduke 80 Holy Pally--Moardotz 80 Desto Warlock-- Dexterworgan 80 Assassination Rogue----Liadon 80 Feral Druid--Mumbles 70 Frost Mage--Bibleblack 70 Disc Priest--Dylli 70 DM Hunter--Krosa 70 Fury Warrior -- Slapntickle 70 Prot Warrior -- Okoi 80 Enha Shaman + 4 slave shamans multiboxed to 70 - Darksorrow EU PvP

Welcome to a MMO, are you new around here?

MMO's ain't single player fixed games and never will be hence the need for constant development.
Science has made us gods even before we are worthy of being men: Jean Rostand. Yeah, Atheism is a religion like bald is a hair colour!.

I like affliction except for Soul Effigy, not the dot managment thing but it's other problems. It's just a pain in the ass to use and doesn;t reward you much for it either.

Doesn;t help that raid content just hasn;t played to affliction's strength much but there have been multiple encounters that highlight it's weaknesses. Don;t like th epidgeonholing effect of the talent choices which force much bigger tradeoffs between aoe/single target than most other classes

The realelephant in the room for affliction is it;s artifacts. It just doesn't work in pure single target fights, which is exactly the place affliction needs it's artifact to compensate for it;s specialisation weaknesses. There just aren't enough tormented souls to keep up Reap and the two GOLD traits do literally nothing at all.

The only thing that really made my hackles rise in the Q&A was where they said they'd had all the feedback on Prismatic Crystal - but they still decided to implement it for affliction, it's Einstein's defintion of madness (doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result). And the alpha and beta feedback was about 99% negative too, Soul Effigy was and is just bad IMHO it's really the place where they dropped the ball on affliction (plus the artifact). It just bugs me when they announce Soul Effigy is getting lots of feedback and they've realised it was a mistake like it's a revelation, at this point tens of thousands of people just wanted to shout out

    "well no shit Sherlock"

It this sort of thing that engenders the "they won;t listen" attitude. Soul Effigy could and should have died in the first month of Alpha and then there'd have bene time to come up with something better. As Jessicka would say - it was someone's baby and they wouldn't kill it even though it was bad.

I get their ppoint that they wanted affliction to be about dots and Effigy is the solution to the ages-old issue of balancing single target and multi-target damage for a dot spec...but Soul Effigy. ugh.

It's OK in concept but to be liked they would have had to have fixes for it;s QOL issues notably targetting, zero help from the UI, the range thing. And they progressivley nerfed it through alpha/beta. It just left people crying out "WHY". I get the distinct feeling that Effigy is hard to fix because the game engine itself doesn;t have anything in it that will truly fix it (liek having it tethered to the caster lock for example)

It's like that weird nerf they did to Contagion. No one could make sense of it. It nerfed affliction where it was already really hurting. It was just crazy. There wasn;t any word at all as to the reasoning. And now they buffed it again to more than it was before the nerf.

    To quote Scotty

"The new Enterprise has a fine set of engines, but the ship feels like it's been put together by monkeys!"

Even now we are stuck with Effigy, the solution in 7.1.5 is to just give us alternatives that are as good or better and hope that everyone will just drop Effigy and let it wither away in a corner, forgotten and unloved

But the new Haunt and MG are limited to specific situations. I think Writhe + Effigy will still win out on some occasions. It just won;t feel liek the only option is the one most people hate...all the time.

it didn't feel like that to me. They tried something differend and it went very wrong (destro). They basicly admit that xelnath's build is beter and that they are going to change it back to that model. Just will not called embers. I think it took so long to get al the big dev ego's away to admit they were wrong....

agree , i'm still angry they took my smooth fun game play away , i'm still VERRRRRRY ANGRY that we have no words why ALL our visual's are gone (fire aura , sphere's,..) But we have there words now that some were in this expansion we get our xelnath build back. Still would like to know why our visual's were stripped :'(
