I'm not sure about this particular bill, but medicare and social security is something republicans have been wanting to attack for many years. Bush failed to get enough support and Ryan couldn't pass his bill because Obama was president. Now that they will control everything...

If you vote republican then your voting to cripple or remove medicare and social security. You can't separate those things.

There is nothing in the OP's links that is even close to what he claims.

But ya if something like this happen's that is highly stupid. You receive disability because you can't work, So how do u meet a work requirement when u can't work?

On top of that if you do decide to try work under the current system they will take half of everything you make.

I don't see any indication of the items in your list, so I want to know where you got that information.
Sorry about that. Below is the full text of what was requested for cost estimates by the social security administration. The house.gov link the bill numbers that will get updated at some point

    Please don't overreact to this.

The bill has been referred to committee. Committees are where they do initial review, revision, markup, etc. Committees are made of both parties, with the majority party having a majority representation. Many bills die in committee. If the committee passes it, the Speaker of the House schedules a vote (or doesn't) for the entire House to vote on it.

This bill is nowhere close to becoming law. Many bills are written and introduced to committee just to shake things up knowing full well they'll die. This bill has 0 cosponsors (may not be updated yet), which is a good indication it's going nowhere. If a large group of representatives or senators think a bill is good and can pass, they'll co-sponsor.

Did you even read this more than just the title of the Bill? All 30 pages of it?

Well at least people are grandfathered in and they cannot be effected by this legally at least if this makes it past the commitees.
"How you build your character is not a feature of a MMORPG, it is the feature. Everything else is secondary even the gameplay itself is secondary to building your character, its the kind of stuff you think about when you are at work or school and couldnt wait to go home to play WoW or Diablo 2. We have all done it." ~Into, 2016

You mean republicans are making sure their party of old white people aren't affected while giving the finger to everyone else?
