How do I create text boxes and place images into my addon?

I've been just creating buttons for my text boxes and images just because I don't know the right way to do it yet but that's obviously not ideal.

Can someone show an example or link me somewhere I can read up how? I did a bit of googling and didn't find a whole lot that was helpful to a beginner like myself.

Thanks, but I'm not sure this is going to help me much. I don't think this addon has any text boxes since it just skins other addons. And as far as textures, well..I poked around a bit but don't know what I should even be looking for in the first place.
