Would you do this for a few views?

    Seems rather risky..
Most if not all youtube video pranks are faked so no bravery needed just bad acting.

So intentionally stepping on someones shoes isn't battery but the rebuttal is?

    Harhar its just shoes, bro

The "prank" is assault and battery.

How is a complete stranger intentionally encroaching on your personal space and stepping on your toes not considered a/b?

    Keyword is intentionally.

    Also the videos are fake.

Cause they are black and Taft is a known racist on this board. Sorry if you expected any sort of real debate here.

It was pretty courageous for this kid to pay a couple guys to get mad at him for gently tapping a pair of shoes. It's not like he spit gum on them or ripped a hole in them.

Why would you violently attack someone because they stepped on some shoes?

Agreed, it's not even funny. Just a dude being a dick for the sake of being a dick and clickbait. I'm assuming he plays on some racial shit, too. Which makes him a racist dick.

Unlike the subservient slave type of stereotype they should be strengthening instead, right?

Civilly telling a guy to fuck off and going on with your day is not 'subservient slave type', it's the 'reasonable adult type'. Besides, they're shoes, their purpose is to get dirty to keep your feet from getting dirty, if you think they're too expensive to get dirty, you should reconsider wearing them on the streets. If the asshole ruins your $200 shoes, you have a reasonable point to sue if need be, but I'm sure any damages caused by stepping on a shoe is reversible, or the Jordans aren't worth the $200.

Nonetheless, purposely stepping on others' shoes isn't acceptable behavior, but neither is acting like an ape when someone is a dick to you.

In the end this argument is worthless because all youtube 'pranks' are faked to try and be more ridiculous than the last.

When someone bumps into me accidentally, I'll tell him to fuck off nicely. When someone goes out of their way to tick people off, I completely understand them wanting to show him what Newton's third law is all about.

If I had a 200 dollar pair of shoes, and someone intentionally stepped on my foot... I'd probably get pretty angry about it. Considering I've had my foot stepped on before... on accident... many times. It HURTS. If someone does it on purpose... yeah, I'm not gonna take that lightly. Granted... if a dude that's bigger than me (I'm 5'3, 120 pounds) stepped on my foot. It'll hurt regardless. I'm going to give them a piece of my mind. At least a 'WTF BRO WATCH IT.'

Civilly does not always mean nicely. It also means to just be in accordance with civil law.

In accordance with the law? Do you want to send him a serious note with a legal stamp on it? :P

No, it means not breaking any laws.

The reactions are just so disproportionate... all the guy in the video does is step on some shoes and the prankees react as if twelve thousand years of cultural tradition had just been spat on.

White people don't worry about car scratches because white people have WD-40.

Do you know anyone who wears basketball shoes bud?

These guys aren't buying Jordans or LeBrons to get them dirty. They're getting them as a fashion statement. When you step on them, what does that say?
