    No it doesn't. If you are getting less calories from carbs than what you consume it's not stored as fat but used as energy to fuel your body. Carbs don't instantly "store up as fat" as you claim but your body first breaks it down to glucose and stores it as glycogen. Only then if there's excess glycogen the rest is converted to fat. The carbs are the ultimate use for energy as fast as possible food. They even break down faster than protein (or fat for that matter).

    No, fructose can only be processed by your liver, glucose can be directly used by nearly every cell in your body. Fat is made from sugar thats stored by the liver, fructose is what stops hearts. Fruits usually arent an issue because they have high doses of fiber

    Unless he's eating sweet potatoes and not potatoes as he claimed, or he's lying and also eating supplements, he's bound to have vision issues from lack of vitamin A.

    Oh, I don't even want to go into B12. He might last a few years, but once your liver uses up all the reserves, good luck dealing with the neurological ailments.
