Patch 7.1.5 Artifact Knowledge

I rerolled a new character a few months ago, so i'm not going to have ak level 25 before 7.1.5. Since I still had my old main doing researches, I'll be able to buy the Compendium, getting ak level 20. So I wondered, what if I still complete my ak researches, but keep 5 of them? Will I be able to instantly get to ak level 25? Or did Blizzard already say we won't be able to do something like that?

It uses any AK books in your inventory. The only chance you have of gaining any extra is to leave the 2 notes that you can research in its collection box until after the patch
