Good, it's about time prisoners start being useful instead of being useless behind bars.

And ANOTHER TRUMP post.
Mega tread, come on! (please).
Being convicted of a crime doesn't entitle people to enslave you.
If they are being given a offer, it's not slavery.
On a side note, would some of you consider forced community service to be slavery? Those inmates that pick garbage up by the roadside?
If so, do you think that it's subject to the same moral costs as conventional slavery?
If they get paid and dont get forced its not slavery.
The funny thing about all of it, is that funding is the issue. Prisoner labor really isn't as cheap as people think, especially all the way from the Northeast.
The big issue was never really that Trump wanted to build a wall, because that was approved a decade ago. The issue was that Trump was race baiting, selling hatred and fear, and acting like a racist asshole towards Mexicans. The other issue was that the "small government" conservatives were being hypocrites for calling for a much larger and more-intrusive government.
Its only slavery when you have no choice. They CHOSE to break the law, had a trial and were found guilty by a unanimous jury therefore to hell with the scumbags. Work them to the bone. It will be a good deterrent to not come back when they are released. Additionally they will learn useful skills that can get them a job in construction when they get out.
