Google Voice on an unused note 3

I'm looking to use my old note 3 for a WiFi only Google Voice / SMS phone.

It will not have any service on it, just going to use it for WiFi calling / message at work & home.

I've got it up and going for the most part, but I hate the Hangouts app...


Anyone have something like this up and running, that might suggest a better app?

I'm about to try Talkatone.. we'll see how that goes.
(Scratch that - Talkatone sucked & so does GrooveIP)
