Do I need to level my followers for the Class campaign

I might go off-topic, but does anyone know what the easiest way is to get epic equipment for your followers? I only managed to get a couple of them.

Armor or the trinkets?
You get armor and trinkets, by selecting an option in MOST class halls, so it creates a vendor that gives you armor and trinkets in exchange for resources (It is random).
You can get also a lot of armor and trinkets by doing missions in the table.
And finally ,sometimes, emisary caches give you armor and trinkets for your followers.
Getting epic equipment (trinkets) for your followers takes some time, and like everything else in legion is RNG

After the class campaign I send my followers out to get AP, they get 3k exp be default from that, it goes quick enough and they get a lil bonus ap, works fine
