How do you explore a raid before it's released?

You either get into Alpha/Beta or PTR or you find some creative way to get in.

You can get into Nighthold since Legion launch by jumping down with a goblin glider from Dalaran, for example. Over the years there have been multiple way to get into dungeons, you can get to uninstanced Firelands from the molten front quest area for example.

Through the history of WoW there has been multiple dungeons or locatinos that could be explored prior to release or that were never released. ZG could be wall hopped into, Uldum was a dungeon before it was a zone, crypts of Kara, the old emerald dream, under IF to name a few.

jk you dont need to: basically get a sandbox server and host your own local WoW server where you can be a GM and use teleports OR get a CASC* extractor and port the map files to the FBX format, so you can run them in 3d-modelling software like 3ds max

Dont wanna go too much into detail though. Ironically MMOC is all about datamining (extracting CASC files, hosting local private server etc.), but talking about that kind off stuff will be closed here and maybe infracted (i am not hating)

*CASC-files are the files were all those gigabytes of WoW data are stored
