Pretty sure using Max scores on WCL is a pretty bad idea for making generalizations about the performance of a class.

Also, Brewmaster's just take more damage than other tanks due to stagger.

Mistweavers are doing very well from a numbers standpoint; they may not have much utility, though.

Windwalker is middle of the pack DPS.

Beyond the aggressive language of the post, the OP has a point. The community is not stupid and will not play a class that has problems. Monk being severely underplayed in Legion is proof that the class has problems. Implying that the community does not know better, but some individuals here do, is just silly.

Beyond the aggressive language of the post, the OP has a point. The community is not stupid and will not play a class that has problems. Monk being severely underplayed in Legion is proof that the class has problems. Implying that the community does not know better, but some individuals here do, is just silly.

A lot of high end raiding tanks (See Sco, Slootbag for example) have expressed the same opinion that Monk tanks are currently on par with others, and often better than death knights, demon hunters, even warriors. And that's without considering Nighthold. The problem with people playing monk is that there's too many buttons and considerations for the average player in comparison to other tanks.

You would like to use a simulation as an arguing point instead of actual results? For what reason would you want to do that other than to argue to your advantage over something that means nothing? The sims would mean a lot more if logs didn't exist, and people didn't know how to read them (like you), but they do, and we do. So looking at sims and saying HEY THIS CLASS ISNT DOING WELL, when they ARE doing well on logs is just madness.

The max values cannot be used to determine the overall or average strength of a spec, since the max are often outliers. There is only one week of data, far from enough to draw these conclusions. And the DPS profiles you're linked are months and months old EN/ToV profiles that haven't been updated for 7.1.5.

You seem to have cherry picked your data since much of the rest of the data disagrees with you. I am unsure of what KSRI is or whether its a valid statistic to measure tanks, but it looks like you're only correct based on KSRI for Brewmasters.
