All right, gentleperchildren, let's review. The year is 2024 - that's two-zero-two-four, as in the 21st Century's perfect vision - and I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of still-masked clots ridden infertile senile sissies who want the Last Ukrainian to die so they can get on with the War on China, with some middle-eastern genocide on the side

I realize there's not much info there, but it looks like the senate has delayed "until further notice" the vote on perry becoming SecDoE.
You may not need to be a nobel price winner but it helps if you understand a little bit what the people below you are talking about.
Lets be honest.
Do you think the likes of Perry or even the other nominees would have been hired or even be invited for a interview if they applied for the job if it was a private company? When democrats asked them standard questions that any qualified person would know they all did a Rubio and turned into a robots.
18 pages and people still haven't caught on to the fact that the original story is fake? This issue has been thoroughly debunked as Perry was quoted all the way back in 2014 acknowledging what the DoE does, specifically in regards to America's nuclear arsenal.
"You served in the Air Force and probably know a big part of the Department of Energy is National Security and nuclear, nuclear arsenal," said Greg Dalton, founder of the Climate One forum, during a discussion on energy independence.
"Yep," Perry said."
The quote comes from the first link below, which also contains a link to a youtube video containing the specific quote.

I notice some of your links still think he's too stupid and incompetent to actually hold the position:
"None of this, of course, changes the fact that it makes zero sense to tap someone as unqualified as Perry to a position that has, as the Times story points out, in the recent past been held by experts with deep knowledge of nuclear energy and security — it really could be dangerous."
It doesn't help your case that he couldn't even remember the name of the department when it was one he thought should be disbanded:
"Finally, Perry gave up, saying: "I can't. The third one, I can't. Sorry. Oops." (Watch the whole exchange above at left)
However, a few minutes later in the debate, Perry remembered that the third department was the Energy Department. "By the way that was the Department of Energy I was reaching for a while ago," he said with a chuckle when he was asked another question."
Thinking someone is stupid is an objective matter of opinion. If you bothered to read everything in the links I provided, you would see some of them also point out that he was smart enough to be the governor of the 2nd most populous state in the country. So liberals trying to nit pick his positions to claim he's "stupid" is irrelavent.
But the issue here is the OP, and more specifically the article the OP linked, made the false claim that Perry didn't know what the DoE does or what he would be in charge of when he is running it. And 18 pages later people are still doubling down on that false claim, even though it was debunked days ago. Just like 99% of the stuff liberals say. Like the attendance nonsense at the inauguration. It was debunked that same day that the pictures liberals keep parading around was taken early in the day, hours before Trump was even present at the Capitol to be sworn in and give his speech.
I believe this thread will do. Devos has now been confirmed - Pence broke the tie. Going to be a lot of shit to reverse in 4 years.
