    Question about wowprogress rankings

So, our guild is currently 2/3M ToV but decided instead of doing helya the last 2 weeks we did m+ farm on raids times as we didn't think we'd be able to kill it in 2 evenings (we're 2 days per week).

Will not having killed Helya screw our rankings? As in, say we kill X Mythic nighthold boss world 300, will we show up as world 500 in 2 weeks time when guilds that have killed 3/3M down the same boss?

Trying to figure out how big an impact not having killed Helya will have in terms of wowprogress rankings

We won't know for sure until NH mythic is released and we can see how many points bosses are worth, but it *is* the same tier as NH and TOV, and helya *is* an endboss, which means likely, yes, it will affect your rankings very harshly compared to a guild that's killed her - EG, right now using guilds on my realm to compare, a 7/7 guild is at ~45k points, a 7/7 + 2/3 guild is at ~60K points, and a fully completed guild is at ~130K points. That means "normal" bosses are only worth about 5-6K points per. Helya being worth 70K means that you could be 9/10 NH mythic, and a 2/10 NH mythic guild with helya down would still be better ranked, realistically.

Why anyone would care though, is beyond me.

if people kill it and you dont, OFC your rankings will be less than theres, its all part of the same tier.

I'm pretty sure it'll screw your ranking and put any 3/3M in front of you on Wowprogress. Need to confirm upon Mythic release but it looks to be this way at the moment atleast.

Helya is worth a lot of points on wowprogress, so basically if any guild kills Helya before you do, they will be ahead of you on rankings unless you kill Gul'dan before them (on mythic that is)

If that's important to you, just make sure you go kill Helya when you'll be done with easier mythic bosses from Nighthold.. just like many did with Imperator in Highmaul.

Really though ranking wise it doesn't matter until you've cleared 10/10, and by that point the Helya kill won't matter, 2/3 0/3 1/3, doesn't matter, whoever got 10/10 first has the higher ranking.

There is a decay in score for each week you don't kill the boss. So, as an example:

First week of Nighthold, Normal 10/10 will be worth 15 points. Heroic will be worth about 750 points. Next week Mythic will be worth about 75000 points, but Normal will be worth probably 14 points and Heroic will only be worth 725 points.

This means Mythic Helya being skipped is dropping in value each week that it's being skipped. You will only have the points for your Heroic kill. You can capitalize on getting in as much of Nighthold as done while the points are high. At a certian point, it might not even be worth going back and finishing up Mythic Helya for more then personal achievement.

Not how the point system works within the same tier. What you're saying is true if it was a *new* tier, but because Helya, Xavius and Gul'dan are all end bosses within the same tier, each of them will be worth a big amount of points; It remains to be seen if Gul'dan will be worth more than everything else combined, but it's very doubtful, as we had the same scenarios happen in T11, T14 and T17 (opening of Cata, MOP and WOD), and points from "earlier" raids in the tier did have a significant effect.

I didn't mean as in all points, but just the ToV ones, but you're right, it's pretty hard to tell right now without any details.

Helya alone though, definitely shouldn't make the difference, and if it did, that'd be pretty disappointing to see. As many of the big raiding teams have said this is the raid that really matters.
