This is what i'll never understand about Americans. The pure hatred and misinformation about their own people, their own neighbours, The greed and pure spitefulness of the things they say and do. Not a single thing he says is actually backed up by facts too.

Not Americans are this way because I see quite a few good people but I see this quite often.

How much you want to bet if one day the ACA is one day axed...insurances companies wont drop their rates and people wont save any money from taxes? Losing the ACA would probably be nothing but 100% negative for the country...

HAHAHAHA. Best part is he mention bankruptcy. Which is literally a hand out, the biggest kind of help you can be given. You get to keep most of your living assets and get clear of debt. How is that not helping you? Any person that goes bankrupt and try to claim nobody helped them is a pure idiot. If you werent a leeching fuck, everything you own would be taken to pay for your debt, leeching shits.

or the anecdote I used of an ex-coworker.

She was born with a genetic condition that required her to take medication weekly to keep her brain functioning "normally". The copay alone jumped from approximately $20/week to $2000/week literally overnight. Some of this may be "oh she just chose the wrong job/insurance/blahblahblah" but most of this is due simply to the fact that there's very limited sources of the medication so they're free to charge whatever they feel like if people want to continue living.

She literally had to quit her job and get covered by Obamacare in order to afford the same medication she was previously buying herself while being a productive member of society because.... capitalism.

And I am not using "literally" in the hyperbolic sense either. Under Obamacare she has since had brain surgery, and I am hoping she is more independent of the medication requirements since then, because Trumpcare will simply let her die.

Its stories like this that make me feel so sad for the people who will be steamrolled under trump. I'm really sad for you guys. I don't understand how a single American can let someone suffer and die because they feel that people are "leeches".

They seem to have issues with the idea of their tax dollars being spent to better the country and the people in it and would rather the tax money be spent on missiles to blow up people in the middle east.

Look at the republicans attempt to fix it and to end up making it worse than it was before, it's not like they have a good track record with fixing things.

If I don't have insurance and I get sick I go to the ER, because they're required by law to see me, and then instead of a $200 doctor visit it's a $5000 ER visit that I can't afford, but somebody has to pay for it. Guess who does? If you guessed taxpayers, you'd be correct. So congratulations, by taking away people's healthcare not only are you making fellow Americans suffer, you're also increasing the amount you yourself spend on them. Good job.
Do you know how terrible that subsidized insurance was? I got quoted a 6000$ deductable on each instance on top of a rediculas high monthly fee and even after that the insurance would only cover 40% of the the cost. Sorry but obamacare was about seeming to be covered while really not being. I couldnt afford that it was pretty much the same as being uninsured.

Also to all the idiots who think the entire obamacare act will just get repealed go do some research, there are not enough votes controlled by republicans to vote the entire thing, they can only nix PARTS of it.

Nothing really, except I don't think much consideration has been given to the full impact of ACA. It's not just the "lol poor," it's businesses and so on.

Anyway, the order itself is silly. It would be like me going into work and yelling, "GO COOK SOME STUFF TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY! I'LL BE IN THE OFFICE!"

Let's all ride the Gish gallop.

I can't wait until you're old enough to get off mommy's healthcare and find that they won't cover an unemployed kid with pre-existing condition of empty brain.

Anyone that thinks that healthcare isn't a right is worthless and doesn't deserve to have their healthcare.

There is an attitude in the US among MANY Americans that if you need something and can't pay for it yourself, then f you. Unless you have family that's willing to help OR you belong to a church that has a charitable program for members in distress. If not, oh fcking well.

That has to be sarcasm. Please, let that be sarcasm. Have you SEEN his department picks? For about 90% of them, their "qualifications" for office amount to "how much ass did you kiss" and "how much did you donate to the campaign". I mean, christ, pick any random teacher from any school in the country, and they probably have a better understanding of what it would take to run the department than his pick for Secretary of Education. His pick for Secretary of Energy? Someone who previously campaigned on a platform of dismantling the Department, and who didn't even know that the Department of Energy is also responsible for overseeing the country's nuclear arsenal until AFTER he got the post. His department picks are utter clown shoes.

Unemployment checks aren't welfare any more than Social Security or Medicare. You pay into the system in order to be able to make a claim. Loans have to be repaid, and the ACA isn't welfare. You still have to pay. If you said they were on Medicaid, you might have a point, but the ACA != Medicaid.
