Elite Dangerous; what should I do?

    Hey lads,

I just started playing Elite Dangerous again, or actually, I tried to start playing Elite Dangerous again. I'm kinda lost though. I have a decked out Vulture and about 2 mil credits which mind you, is nothing in this game and I have absolutely no idea what I should do.

I was thinking about starting a taxi service, but most passenger missions require more than 1 cabin (can't fit more in a vulture) and some kind of reputation. So maybe I should just start with bounty hunting.

What ship should I use for this and which hardpoints? As I said, I'm completely lost.

Not a lot of advise I can give to be honest, but I would recommend checking out the sub-Reddit for Elite: Dangerous - there's a lot of good information there - https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDangerous/. You could also try the official forums too.

I guess it all depends on what you want to do - bounty hunting, exploring, trading, pirating, being a taxi, just seeing the sights. It all feels very overwhelming at first so I found the best thing to do was just concentrate on trading until I felt more comfortable with the game systems and procedures.

Watching some YouTube vids helped too - I found thomgadget's "Codger's Elite Adventures" very informative - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...Pkxnxp4FboSQm6. But be warned, he's probably an acquired taste as he takes things slow and steady, and isn't the most talkative YouTuber out there - he leaves a fair bit of dead-air at times.

Thanks Dave. I might check that out, though I think the game won't keep me entertained that long. After an hour, I just get fed up with the same old everything. I log in when I want an excuse to play with my hotas now

If you're looking for something else to try with your HOTAS, and at all interested in aircraft and/or flight sims, you could try DCS World. It's free to d/l and you get two free aircraft to try - one is the full study-sim civilian version of the P-51 Mustang, the second is the Russian SU-25T Frogfoot, although this does not have an interactive cockpit like the Mustang, it has a full study-sim level flight model.

What HOTAS do you have, if I may ask? I have the Thrustmaster Warthog - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaste...+warthog+hotas
