Some friends got into HotS thanks to the event and try to reach hero league but it seems the requirements with the 14 lvl5 changed? I don't think I had to have access to all 14 heroes when I did it (=> I could level heroes from the weekly free-rotation to 5 and repeat it week after week till I had 14 and even greyed out heroes i leveled counted).
