When it comes to games for me, a game (or gaming franchise) that offers really, REALLY good music in the sense of an OST, boss themes, fight themes, world music, interludes and what not... give it the edge in my favorite games.
Personally to this day I still think the Metal Gear Solid and Legend of Zelda franchises have the most emotion invoking, captivating musical scores in gaming.
But back to the thread question, which music from video games - new or old - were you or still currently drawn to? That one song or songs that you still find your self humming randomly today, or will go out of your way to YouTube and listen to again?
Personally... the Oath to Order from Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is it for me. I played that game when I was an adolescent and, perhaps due to the dark, emotional theme of the game... I feel like that game has a part of my soul. I still think that it was the best Zelda game in terms of story, resolution, and closure (meh, kind of) and the Oath to Order theme ties it all together for me.
I still will YouTube "oath to order remix" on YouTube and find all these amazing fucking remixes from metal remixes, orchestral remixes, or something that Hans Zimmer would make himself.
Another is Aquatic Ambience from Donkey Kong Country
