Question Moving from Mac to PC: Will copying AddOns folder work?

    Hello!

I'm buying a new computer and this time I was determined to get something that can actually run games. As I have a good number of weak auras and also my UI which would take ages to redo all from scratch I was wondering about just copy-paste the relevant AddOns from my Mac to my PC via USB key/hardrive. Do you guys think it'll work instantly or will it not be compatible? And if not, is there anything I can do to transfer them?

Your help on the matter would be much appreciated!

You can copy the entire Interface and WTF folders over and everything will work just fine. All the game needs is the folder structure and proper file types, which is the same whether it's Mac or Windows. You'll have to do a fresh install of WoW using the bnet launcher in Windows though, since the game itself is a different install.

What Kanegasi said. Also, you may find a bunch of files with names that start with ._ after you copy from the mac. You can delete those files, they're invisible unix type files, the PC doesn't need them.

    Thank you both you!
Sounds fairly simple, and I'll look through the files for those "._" files.
    Again thanks a lot!
