    Quick play maps

Hi, I seriously feel like that If I play 10 games in quick play, it'll be 3 times hanamura, 3 times gibraltar, 3 times route 66 and maximum of once Ilios/Lijiang/ and with extremely good luck King's row. Is it because people leave these maps after one round? I've always hated especially Hanamura but there it is, always coming for me. I'd rank them like
Many times: Hanamura, Gibraltar, Route 66
Average: Anubis, Volskaya, Eichenwalde, Oasis, Nepal, Dorado
Rare: Lijiang, Ilios, King's row, Hollywood, Numbani
Now there probably is some data about this (Quick play, not ranked), feel free to share.
But my silly rant is just that I feel forced to play that god damn japanese map all the time, but with 14 maps, couldn't a "mark 2 maps that you don't want to play"(just an example) be added, at least in QP?

It's pretty much random as far as I know, Hanamura probably just sticks out to you because you dislike it and it is long (usually).

I do agree that some kind of veto map function would be great but I doubt Blizzard will implement this as they still want people to play 2cp, and literally everyone I play with would never touch those maps if they could.

I've noticed it as well - some maps seem to be much more common than others. I see Route 66, Nepal and Gibraltar a lot but Eichenwalde, Oasis and King's Row are much rarer.

Yeah, it has been pretty restricting not being able to choose what map/gamemode you get to play. But that's what's so great about the server browser update on the PTR. People will get to play anything they want. Huge update for player freedom.

I wish there was a way to prefer either control or escort maps.

That's odd, I feel like I'm always getting Nepal, Lijiang, and Hollywood.

Heck, I played two matches on my PS4 and got Nepal both times, to switch over to the PC and get Nepal again.

From what I understand, the maps are basically rolling in a set order, let's say; Hanamura, Hollywood, Lijiang, Ilios, Dorado, Gibraltar. Then when you queue up and end up in a Hanamura game and continue playing with that lobby without dropping out of the games/queue/getting booted to main screen due to lack of players, it'll continue down that list, Hollywood coming after, then Lijiang and so on. But the moment you drop out of the queue you'll end up in a new rolling list that doesn't take into account that you maybe just played Ilios.

    First Queue
    King's Row
    Nepal
    >>PLAYER ENTERS QUEUE<<
    Hanamura
    Hollywood
    Lijiang
    >>PLAYER LEAVES QUEUE<<
    Ilios
    Dorado
    Gibraltar

    Second Queue
    King's Row
    Nepal
    Hanamura
    Hollywood
    >>PLAYER ENTERS QUEUE<<
    Lijiang
    Ilios
    Dorado
    Gibraltar

I've had once route 66 7 fucking times in a row.
I started to hate the map afterwards.
    Still do.

Only map I don't like is Eichenwald. Apparently they're changing it, but but only at the last checkpoint. I still feel like it favours the defender too strongly at the first bridge; it makes it boring to defend there, and very limited for tricks in attack.

It's particularly poorly designed for mystery heroes and various other brawls that limit what heroes can be picked. The defenders are favoured immensely - and if the attackers can't pick a hero suited to breaking through a strong defence then they're usually screwed.

I don't really notice getting a particular map way too often in quickplay, but Eichenwalde's definitely the rarest map in my quickplay queues. Which is kind of a pity because I actually like the map, certainly better than the 2CP maps.

Yea, they are changing the gate from completely closing at the last checkpoint. Instead there will be a pile of rubble that doesn't block the entire entrance.

I love the first point on Eichenwalde as both Attack and Defense. It's really well designed.
