    Mythic Trilliax Tactic Help

    Hey guys,
after defeating Anomaly last raid we progressed through Trilliax today and faced one main problem: Our fight was too chaotic. I know the fight is really dynamic because of the spawns of the cakes and the robots. Except more communication via VoIP, which way did you use to structurize your Trilliax Mythic fight better?

Well we assign 5 people to each corner but other than that it's just a matter of people looking around the room and doing the mechanics.

The dps requirement basically does not exist, we killed this fight with 4 dps dead the first time (8 minute kill, but we haven't seen any berserk yet). As long as everyone spreads out (let the melee handle cakes and explosion near the boss) and just eats everything and clicks all the explosions you'll be fine.

You may want sterilized people to stop draining the scrubbers before their debuff actually runs out so you avoid explosions during annihilate.

Once your feast and sterilize players prioritize their job above dps, it will be a kill. Sterilizing is so crucial. The room should be cleaned or nearly cleaned each time otherwise your sterilize players failed their job. I would not stop sterilizing as suggested above but rather assign a mage to click any exploding bomb during annihilate and then ice block mid air to survive beam. We only ever had one at a time explode during this moment. You can also plan defensives/healer CD. But failing to clean up the space with sterilized is likely why it feels chaotic.

It's extremely dicey to use ice block on that since during your jump and first second of flying up you can't actually hit ice block.

Paladin can do it, but might be dicey to actually get there.

You can clear most/all of the room without using the whole duration of sterilize if you do the mechanic properly early.

We legit just did it the exact same as our heroic kill, the fight isnt a dps race. lust on first add.. second pots on second add - as long as everyone gets the cakes and stops the sweepers its gg.
My FC is 1177 - 6552 - 9842 PM with yours if you add.

just play the mechanics like your life depends on it (it actually does) and don't bother too much about playing perfectly

This is the 2nd meme boss.

If you lust on pull, the boss is at 50% health before the first add comes out. Just soak the bombs properly, never let one go off and its a kill. Really really easy. This does mean that people are sacrificing dps to soak a bomb.

As the others have said, this fight isn't a dps race at all. Focus on the mechanics and make sure the cakes are done properly. Splitting the room into four sections and having 5 people cover each section should calm down the chaos a bit and make it much easier to call people out for cakes if needed.

Most people pretty much answered your question, but I will give you a quick rundown of our strat. It took us 7 pulls to kill Trilliax for the first time, without pretty much any preparation. We basically set up 4 zones through the room, where the boss starts is zone 1, the left of the room (looking at the boss) is zone 2, the right is zone 3 and the back is zone 4. We have melee and tanks soak any cakes around the boss, even if melee has to run out further out of melee range, they do it, because DPS doesn't really matter. We have 1 heal and 4-5 ranged go to the left and the rest of the raid go to the right. The back of the room is free for all, whoever didn't soak gets to run to the back to get cakes. Your objective is to transition into every Anihilation phase with 0 cakes up, and as soon as it's over, make sure your raid spreads and soaks the new cakes. The add that spawns puts a buff on itself which can be dispelled, make sure a shaman grabs that. We lust on pull, 2nd pot for first add and ignore 2nd add if the boss is below 10% when it comes out. Last week we only used 3 healers and still had no issues, as long as people were prioritizing mechanics>tunneling.

Make sure players understand that soaking bombs and sterilizing them for a while (to make sure they clean most of the room) are the most important bits of the fight.

We usually assign 4~ ish players per corner via raid markers as the area they need to pay attention at, but everyone should pay attention to it.

It's really easy to wipe because someone decided that hitting the boss at 5% was a lot more important than soaking that bomb on the far side of the room...

    "Just soak it"
