The rarest mount undeniably right now is the Old School Ride: Red Wolf learned from Horn of the Red Wolf item.

Even the description by Blizzard states: Almost none remain in the whole of Azeroth; only the most experienced will have seen one.

It's a beautiful red wolf that also ties in with the real world red wolves we have today. They are at the brink of extinction on our planet.
I believe there are only around 35-40 red wolves roaming around in the wild today on planet earth sadly..wich is also the amount of numbers roaming around on Azeroth...heck maybe even less. Id say probably 10 are active in US and around 4 to 5 in EU. Yes that's how rare they are.

If the Black Qiraji Battle Tank wasn't messed with, it would hold the title of #1 surely.

3 ppl in my guild have it and i'm about 20 coins away from it (i own all of the little toys/knicknacks he has so had to save up a bit for that mount).

Nah, love rocket isn't that "rare" any more. There are websites that pull data from 110s armories and their mount collections. Black proto is almost twice as rare as the rocket. Rarer than that still is Rukhmar's mount. Then of course all the gladiator mounts.

All of the gladiator mounts, Tyrannical Gladiator's Cloud Serpent being the rarest. Rarest non pvp flying mount is Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent.

However soms mounts arent in the list..simply because they are way to rare to the point where not even the radar can track em.

These are the 3 that dont show up on all 3 of the tracking sites. So there ya have it. These are the 3 rarest mounts in wow..what anybody else says, is their opinion. What im stating is a fact ^.-

Except everyone is more talking in regards to flying, as title states, and i think more aimed at 'obtainable' but fair enough with your post'

Think his post was about 5 months old so back then the mount was rare. Now? Not so much indeed.
